"Chris Hadfield is a mission specialist chosen by the Canadian Space Agency to join the 14th group of astronauts selected by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Hadfield is a major in the Canadian Air Force. He has a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from the Royal Military College and a master of science degree in aviation systems from the University of TKennessee. He was born August 29, 1959, in Sarnia, Ontario, and grew up in Milton, Ontario. Hadfield reported for astronaut training in August 1992." Photograph donated by "The Canadian Champion"
