Jim Thomson, I can remember fell or hit his head on something but he was outside in a ravine over night and the dog stayed with him a kept him alive or went to get help, the dog could have won an award for saving his life. This was about 7 - 10 years ago. In the Campbellville or Brookville area.

Jim Thomson was from Moffat and had alzheimer's, he went for a walk and got lost for 1 - 2 days, Topnotch the dog stayed with him until the people that were searching for him were near by and heard the dog barking. Yes the dog won award from Purnia Dog Chow. Information came from Mike Boughton, Jim's barber.
