Description

John D. McGibbon was born in Esquesing Township, the son of John McGibbon and Margaret McNaughton. He married Jane I. Thompson and they had one daughter. He owned a hotel in Georgetown and then came to Milton where he bought the Wallace House Hotel which then became known as the McGibon Hotel. He also managed the local hockey team. Her died in 1916 and was survived by his wife and daughter, Charlene. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery. For further information, see "Milton Area Biographies" by Alex Cooke.
