Description

Samuel Bews was born in Milton in 1870, the son of William Bews and Mary Ann Tock who had six sons and two daughters. Samuel Bews married Bertha Maria Harrison, the daughter of Charles Harrison and Hannah Walker. Samuel Bews was in the clothing business and had a store on Main St., Milton. He was an elder of St. Paul's United Church and a memorial window was installed in the church in his memory. He died in 1927, was survived by his wife and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
