Description

Samuel Dice was the son of George Dice and his wife Agnes who had eight children. Samuel Dice was born in Nelson Township. He married his first wife in 1862. She was Sarah Martin and was the daughter of John Martin and Margaret Hume. Samuel and Sarah and two daughters. His second marriage was to A.Dorothy Shuert and they had one daughter. He was Mayor of Milton and also served on Council. He was Police Magistrate for the town after serving for a number of years as Justice of the Peace. He died in 1924 and was buried in St. George's Cemetery, Lowville.
