- James Frazer was born in 1832 in Scotland. He arrived in Milton from the Berlin (Kitchener) area in 1868 when he was appointed Bailiff of the First Division Court of Halton County. He was married to Martha S. Mandell who was born in Ireland. There was no family. He was a licensed auctineer, a member of Knox Church, and a Master of St. Clair Lodge. He was Town Assessor and Town Collector. He died in 1914 and was burien in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.
