Description

Solomon Hannant was born in Norwich, England and came to Canada when he was about 19 years old. He was a miller by trade and worked in Chatham, St. Catharines, Brantford and in Churchville. He finally settled in Milton where he lived for nearly 20 years. He operated the Martin Mill for approximately 20 years. He married Catherine O'Shea and they had three sons and three daughters. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.
