- James Houston was born in Kilbride in 1867, the son of Richard Houston and Margaret J. Davidson. James married Margaret Turnbull; there were no children. James Houston came to Milton in 1898 and ran a grocery business for several years and then had an automobile agency. He died in 1943 and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
