- Thomas Davidson Hume was born in Nelson Township in 1868. He was the youngest son of George Hume and Jane Robertson. In 1894 he married Mildred Jennie E. Bell - they had one child, a son. Mr. Hume was a member of Milton Council for 1911-12. In 1912 he opened the first moving picture theatre in Milton which was destroyed by fire and was re-opened in 1916 as the Princess Theatre. He died in 1934 and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton. For further information, see "Milton Area Biographies" by Alex Cooke.
