Description
John Irving was born in Nassagaweya Township, the son of Robert Irving and Jane Hutcheon. In 1905 he married Alice Kennedy. John and Alice did not have a family. Mr. Irving taught in various schools in Esquesing Township. In 1897 he came to Milton where he entered the grain business and was later owner of the creamery on Commercial Street. He was on the Town Council and was Mayor from 1922-1928. He was Warden of Halton County in 1937. He died in 1953 and was survived by brothers Robert and William and sisters Jennie C. Collins and Helen Irving. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton
