- Charles Lecocq came to Canada from the Channel Islands in 1911. When World War I broke out he left for France in 1916 and returned to Canada in 1919. He opened his harness making shop on Main Street in partnership with John Little. He was a member of the Milton Curling Club amd Grace Anglican Church. He died in 1964 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery
