Description
Gordon MacNab was born on the MacNab homestead in Esquesing Township just north of Milton in 1889, the son of Alexander Campbell MacNab and Catherine Fleming. He sold insurance for Mutual Life and Prudential Life for many years. In 1915 he married Mabel Catherine Wharton, 1892-1986. They had six children, two sons and four daughters. In 1932 he began working with C. R. Turner in the Turner Funeral Home and carried on until 1945 when he and his son Bruce formed a partnership to operate the MacNab & Son Funeral Chapel. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge and a member of St. Paul's United Church. He died on April 3, 1962 was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.
