Description
Charles W. Martin was born in Milton, the son of Joseph Martin and Jane Maunder. In 1893 he married Jessie J. McCraney and they had four sons and five daughters. As a young man he worked in the Mill at Milton and in 1893 he went with his father to Harrison River where his father had purchased a saw mill. He returned to Milton c. 1900 and continued the operation of the Mill in Milton until 1930. He was a member of Milton Council and a member of Grace Anglican Church. He died in 1941 and was survived by four sons and five daughters. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
