Description

Dr. Martin was the son of Charles W. Martin and Jessie J. McCraney. He was raised in Milton and studied medicine at the University of Toronto. He purchased the mill from his father in 1930 and kept ownership until 1962 when he sold to Robin Hood Milling Co. He was a Milton Town Councillor, Mayor and Reeve and was Warden of the County of Halton. He married Maud Marie Fleck; they had three sons and one daughter. He died in 1989 and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.
