Description
William McClenahan was born in Nelson Township. He married Elizabeth Duffey and they had four sons. His second marriage was to Clara E. Lucas in 1897 and they had daughter. He taught school in the area for over thirty years. In 1912 he was appointed Clerk of the Surrogate Court for Halton County and was also very active in many local organizations. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church He died in 1932 and was buried in St. Paul's Presbyterian Cemetery, Nelson Township. For further information, see "Milton Area Biographies" by Alex Cooke.
