Raymond Whaley enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1942. After training in Canada he sailed for England. On June 10, 1944 he landed at Juno Beach in France. He was in Oldenburg, Germany when the war ended in 1945. He returned to Canada in 1946. For further information, see the Archives at The Milton Historical Society.
