P. L. Robertson by fence, overcoat but no hat, with turnip in his hands.
Notes
This series of photographs was taken during P. L. Robertson's trip to Scotland in August and September 1918. They are pasted into an album with the following inscription: "To Stimulate The memory of My glorious Visit to Scotland In August & September Nineteen Eighteen."
Inscriptions
On the bottom of the photograph is written "Sampling a Scotch turnip." There is also a small version of this photograph pasted into the album by the side of which is written "Turnips were not rationed in Scotland."
