- This series of photographs was taken during P. L. Robertson's trip to Scotland in August and September 1918. They are pasted into an album with the following inscription: "To Stimulate The memory of My glorious Visit to Scotland In August & September Nineteen Eighteen."
- Inscriptions
- On the bottom of the photograph is written "Sampling a Scotch turnip." There is also a small version of this photograph pasted into the album by the side of which is written "Turnips were not rationed in Scotland."
