- Description
- Man and two boys standing in line. Studio portrait, man standing with hand on pillar, boys standing with hands folded in front of them. Boys wearing jackets of unusual design, man wearing long jacket and large bow tie.
- Notes
- On the back is written "S. R. Badgley, C. C. Badgley, Henry Badgley." Also written "Architect of Welland Avenue United Church and St. C. Public Library". Further research indicates that Sidney Rose Badgley was a well known Canadian architect of the late 19th Century, responsible for many buildings in Ontario and the northern United States, including Massey Hall in Toronto. Photograph pasted on board. Please note that Sidney Rose Badgley appears to have had no connection with Milton and we have no knowledge of how the photograph came to be in our Collection. However, a researcher in the Niagara area has provided us with considerable information on him which is now available in our Archives.
