Finlay McCallum was born in Perthshire, Scotland. He married Jane Laidlaw in 1850 and they had eleven children. Three sons and six daughters survived. He received his education in Scotland. He emigrated to Canada in 1833 and taught for twenty years. This picture was published in "Milton Semi-Centennial 1857-1907".
