Benjamin Jones was born in 1815 in Croydon, Surrey, England. He came to Canada with his parents in 1832 and in 1845 he moved to Milton. He married Elizabeth Foster and they had four sons and one daughter. His second wife was Ann McDowell. There were no children. He was a Town Councillor. He also operated a cabinet factory and a furniture and undertaking business. This photograph was taken from "Milton Semi-Centennial, 1857-1907".
