Caption reads "About 33 years ago Milton's hockey interest rose to such a pitch that a group of local girls took up the stick game. 'Numerous games were played with miscellaneous results. They managed to weather the season without serious mishap.' says a newspaper report of the era. In the front row left to right are - Elizabeth Sproat, Ruth White, Mabel Hamilton, Myrtle Timbers and Joy Galbraith.
