Obituary in "The Canadian Champion", April 30 1986. "Thomas Ford, 62, of Milton passed away at the Joseph Brant Hospital on Thursday. Mr. Ford, a long-time Milton resident, was well known in town because of his years as a full-time employee at the Elsley Guardian Drug Store on Main St. Ken Elsley, current owner of the store, says that Mr. Ford had worked in the drug store for 46 years. "I've had the store for 23 years now and Tom has worked for me from the start. But he also worked for the previous owner for a number of years." Mr. Ford worked as a full-time general store clerk. He has served a lot of Milton people over the years. "I'm certainly going to miss him," said Mr. Elsley. "He was a very friendly man and he knew so many people. He was always right there to help customers when they needed it. He was a real asset to the business." Mr. Ford is the son of the late John and Mary Ford, and is survived by his sister Donna Murray of Milton. Funeral was held Monday at 11 a.m. from the McKersie Funeral Home. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery." Photograph from "The Canadian Champion".
