What a fabulous renovation of the old Georgian home that my GR GR grandfather James STEWART built for his 2nd wife Janet McGREGOR and their 2 daughters in 1851.
A wonderful job of capturing the original look with new windows, brick + I'm assuming, interior!!
James STEWART was born in Borenich, Blair Atholl, Perthsire, Scotland on Oct 4, 1787.
His 1st wife, Elizabeth, d/o of John STEWART known as the Father of Scotch Block and Margaret LAMOND/LAMONT died in 1841 and James remarried abt 1847.
James + Elizabeth were the parents of 5 children: John, Robert, Margaret Elizabeth, James + Christina Ann.
James + Janet had 2 daughters: Janet 1848 + Mary 1850.
