Sgt Dick Martin was my father. He never ever talked about the war when we were growing up on Commercial St in Milton.
He did not like fireworks, I wonder why! My husband and I are making up books for all the grand kids and we were researching the Reg when he came across this web site. We wish there was more we could pass on but all we can do is make certain that all he did over there we are worthy of.
We will never forget his five years of personal sacrifice.
He came back, never asked for anything extra, raised a family and died young. I wish he and my mother could have had more time together.
