    Drill for the Home Guard began in 1914 with twice-weekly sessions at the Armouries and in the Main St. Town Hall.

    Milton Public School, later known as Bruce St. School, was built in 1857 at a cost of 800 pounds (about $2,000). Its two foot thick walls were of local limestone. It served Milton until 1972. Bruce S

    The Court House is now the Milton Town Hall. On the back of the post card the letters "AZO" are stamped four times making a square for the postage stamp. Not known if this is a publisher's mark.
