    Ed Whitlock was the first man over the age of seventy to run a marathon in under three hours. This photograph was taken at the end of Scotia Bank Marathon in Toronto. His time was 2hrs.54mins.49sec.

    John White was born in Ireland in 1811. He came to Canada with his mother and step-father in 1823 eventually moving to Halton County. He married Mehitabel Post in 1836 and they had one son. He marrie

    D. W. Campbell was born in Peel County of Scottish parents. He studied at Galt Collegiate Institute and later joined a law office and continued his legal studies but did not complete the course. In 1
